The most recent Better Call Saul:
As has already been said, it's still pre-heating a bit, but appears to be following BB's story-arc model.  Interesting, as I thought BCS's premise actually fit a lot better for the more "episodic" style.  But that would undoubtedly fit better once "Saul" is established.  It's still setting the stage at this point...the "Road to Saul", as it were.
It's questionable whether those guys were even A-Listers, let alone biggest action star of the decade.
I was under the impression it was action stars who rose to prominence in the '90s, not greatest action star of the 90's that was being discussed.

Well ok then.  Disregard my comments and continue debating the merits of Will Smith v Keanu.

I think most BCS viewers are people who enjoyed Breaking Bad and would be quite disappointed if it turned into kooky legal case of the week material.

I think, in a different world, Banderas might well have had a shot.  Why, he was Sever.  Or maybe he was Ecks. :P

Anyhoo, Masada is on the watch list tonight.

In the last Goya awards Banderas was given a lifetime achievement award, and they showed a clip of his most prominent films. I swear I didn't remember half the stuff he did in the US, but it seemed that he was always handling weapons in all of them (except for Philadelphia and a couple of others).

Bosch. Troubled middle-aged white detective. His black side kick is Marlo Stanfield. It seems pretty good.
It channels the bad shit pretty well. I like Titus Welliver in a heroic role.

In Philadelphia, he handled his weapon unsafely. :(

Once Upon a Time in Mexico is the shit.  I almost snatched the Zorro flicks out a blu-ray bargain bin the other day too.  Kinda wish I had.  Those are fun movies.

Surely Banderas was a bottom.

So his weapon was an orifice.  Stop being so heteronormative.

Nothing says heteronormative quite like top and bottom.  :D
