one would have thought it was not only written by a guy, but by a 15 year old guy.

Why?  You could fill several libraries with all the bad porn written by women.  I have done extensive research on the topic.

Hmm.  In that first shot, it looked like he was taking a leak.  I don't think that was the notion we are supposed to get from it.

Halt and Catch Fire. Great episode.

Been watching the Clone Wars the last few days.

It's so much better than the prequels it's ridiculous. Anakin is really a heroic, nuanced character in it.
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

The series started out "meh", and took off with the Cad Bane episode at the end of season 1. Season 2 was better, but I didn't generally enjoy the "let's remake classic B movies" theme that ran through it. From season 3 on it became really good, I thought.

But yeah, miles better than the prequels, on the whole, with some pretty great action set pieces and character bits. Later seasons cull the secondary characters a bit, and the end of the Mandalorian arc was a bit gruesome.

Overall it left me wanting for more, but it has me cautiously optimistic for Rebels, if they can maintain the quality of writing and animation.

Quick, 'Noah' or 'Twelve Years a Slave', you decide.

Twelve Years a Slave, since there will be much less CGI.

Noah, since you haven't already seen it a dozen times.
