Ide is a monster.

Timmay at least has that puppy like enthusiasm. Whilst Ide is a cynical Grallonite on many things, and it shows in his reviews.

FUCKBALLS.

It will be great when the US saves the Galactic Empire.
I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

Breaking Bad finale was teh awesome. As expected.

Breaking Bad was very good.

One issue I had.
I thought that Walt being able to calbirate the machine gun at the exact height and angle necessary without seeing and measuring the height of the windows beforehand was a bit much...and of course his plan was completely depenedent on them all the Nazis being in the room together. But that aside, yeah...
awesome

Polar Express and Beowulf? Are you having a Zemeckis themed marathon of animation movies with characters with eerily expresionless faces?

Sort of like an all-Zemeckis marathon.  I've got Death Becomes Her sitting on my table as well, and Romancing the Stone and Used Cars are in my next Netflix batch.  But I've seen all those.  I'd never seen Polar Express and Beowulf; after the conversation Money and I had the other day, I figured it was high time I actually saw the Zemeckis animated films I didn't have much interest in at the time.  And, yeah, Christmas Carol is on its way too.

One thing that I think is important to consider with Don Jon is that movie sexual morality is built for boomers, whose understanding or pornography is limited.
Ultimately, leaving Grey Matter was his own fault and he knew it. Also, he found the best chance left open to him to get some money to his kids. They'll probably turn the money over once they've had time to think about it, but it's not a certainty.
That's true, but Gordon-Levitt is only a year older than me, and thus grew up in the golden age of Internet porn; likewise, has had (presumably) all kinds of sexual experiences.  The movie was made by a Millennial, the plot involves Millennials, and I'm pretty sure the intended audience (such as it has one) is Millennials.  I don't even understand how it came to ring so false in its depiction of sex in 2013.  Even in 2003, it'd be pretty inaccurate.  I don't think it's even accurate in the context of serial pick-up artistry, in fact it's probably more inaccurate, since blowjobs can serve as a face-saving (so to speak) blow off.

(Plus, I'm not convinced Boomers don't have oral sex too.)

If it weren't funny, it'd actually be pretty bad.

Sure it was written and directed by a kid, but the people who paid for it are Boomers, as were the agents and publicists for the female lead.  Thus, there was a fair bit of input by Boomers into exactly how the movie would depict sex.
