Even as a kid I had this big morbid fear of borrowing books from libraries. I mean you never know who read the book before you and, more importantly, where they read it.

What kind of books were you signing out as a kid?
national geographic mags :P

No. Didn't need to. my dad had, still has, bound editions of about 10 years worth of National Geographic mags from 1958-68. I learned so much about African pygmy tribes.
porn that hard to come by in Malta? :P

Um...when you were six and before the Internet...yes. And, also, in malta, in the 60s/70s I don't think there was any porn there, legally, at all.

Playboy began in '53

Their first foreign market was Malta? Explains a lot.
Women want me. Men want to be with me.

Josephus

yeah....Malta wasn't big on Playboy's early expansion plans. Also, a predominantly Catholic island, especially at the time, was able to keep such things out of the islander's reach. I hadn't even HEARD of Playboy till I moved here.

The Michael J Fox show. Not impressed.

Had to turn that one off.  His shaking in HD was giving me vertigo.

Ed Anger

I've been watching Modern Family in syndication. I feel for Ed O'Neill.

Didn't watch the good wife?

I drank because I wanted to drown my sorrows, but now the damned things have learned to swim.

Watching Das Boot... again.

Any feedback for Agents of SHIELD?

I taped the first episode, and only watched it tonight.  It shows promise...
Posts here are my own private opinions.  I do not speak for my employer.

Kleves and Viking thought it was poo

Of course that is Kleves and Viking so....
Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son

Fast and the Furious 6- 5 was surprisingly good and I've read a lot about the infamous runway scene so I gave it a go. It seems to rely a bit on plotpoints in 4 which is one I never saw. Thoroughly meh.

World War Z- I'd heard it was surprisingly good. It was...so-so. Though the whole zombies ignore the sick thing was daft. And the way they shoehorned book Israel into the movie just doesn't work. So Israel decided to build a big wall and threaten its economy because the rest of the world didn't? err yeah...and the coincidence of things going wrong just as the hero was making a flying visit, lol. Not the total disaster it looked set to be but not good either.

Too much moralizing, too many lame jokes, not enough action. Popcorn fare doesn't work that well on a tv budget.

I'm mixed between Peter's review and the promise it shows... yes, it can be good show, but the pilot was "ok", no more.

Stuff that works well in the Avengers doesn't seem to do it for a 1hr tv format.
I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.
