Gang rape jokes? :bleeding:

Also a blog has been spawned? :bleeding:
Ide's world apparently it is? Kind of gross.

Wagnaard, even though you're a blackguard and an inciter, I take the point and decided that going into a little bit of detail in my review was important.  That said, the Emma Watson "gangrape" conversation is, like HVC said, a complete misunderstanding on her part (Danny McBride possibly excepted, if we are to believe James Franco, and I do, implicitly :hmm: ).

There's another rape joke that is significantly worse and more worthy of getting upset about.

It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

Viking

Quote from: Ideologue on July 10, 2013, 08:39:06 AMI guess at least he's not one of Viking's followers.

I have followers? Elaborate plz.
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.

I'd heard of the St. Elsewhere theory before, but I had no idea it was so all encompassing.  Crazy...

Man, I cannot understand at all why that movie exists.

"If you want to see your daughter alive again..."  Given that what Oh Dae-Su thinks is his daughter is in Sweden, that may be a difference.  So maybe it'll be like a Sixth Sense remake where Bruce Willis was dead the whole time. yuck:  I also don't understand why it's 20 years now, instead of 15.  Is this a cosmetic change only, or suggest significant plot differences?  I dunno: I think the author is on the right path when he raises the specter of van Sant's Psycho.  Interestingly, that's probably the best possible outcome.  I think it will be an inferior carbon copy at best, and garbaged up at worst.

Like, James Brolin and Sam Jackson are talents, of course, but who's the guy playing the Lee Woo-Jin character?  That guy's fey, affected voice doesn't compare favorably to either Yu Ji-tae or Crispin Freeman--though maybe it'll grow on me.  The lady in the role of Mr. Han looks hot, but I've got porn for that kind of thing.  Mr. Han was a charming little dude.  I want a charming little dude.

And if it weren't Spike Lee or similar talent, I'd bet a hundred dollars the long take got fucked up. And you know, from the trailer, it does kinda, I dunno, look that way.

Now I feel better that Timmay knows how Ide feels about a movie trailer.

I haven't seen this kind of productive communication since the short bus waited for the chair lift to finish.

You know, I wouldn't be completely sure that, were a cannonade to drop a beam on your back and set the house on fire, that I'd help.
