Anybody else watched the premiere of Vikings?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vikings_%28TV_series%29

It follows the adventure of Ragnar Lodbrok.

It's really well done so far, I really like it.  The viking's portrayal seems accurate, the characters are well fleshed out.  I'll be watching the next episodes for sure :)
I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.

If Microsoft Excel decided to stop working overnight, the world would practically end.

Do any the vikings discover ancient aliens or fight Bigfoot?
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Perhaps with this and "Hatfields & McCoys", the History channel is going for more history in their fiction than in their documentaries? :hmm:

I liked it, the wife is hot. And watching this via HBO I was surprised to see there was no nudity. :P I'll be following too.

The first part of Top Gears epic trek to find the source of the Nile was mildly amusing, not a classic but good.
I did find Jeremy Clarkson's expression after that Kampala traffic jam very amusing. That's one place I don't plan to visit.

Yeah, I'd like to think they really were stuck in that for like 12 hours, but I guess the knew about it, intentionally went there and at some stage the 'stars' snuck off to a hotel.
Which I'm ok with as it's entertainment/comedy, rather than strictly factual, after all who in their right mind would choose a 850R for africa.

It's the anal probing, isn't it?

Both hillbillies and aliens have that in common.  :P

Probably the most introspective Walking Dead yet.

This season's all about little boy growing up.

He still needs to be smacked around a bit;  little fucker's still too mouthy, dead Mom or no dead Mom.
Aren't you one of the biggest Momma boys here? :yeahright:
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

What, because Meri says so?  C'mon.

"Love it or list it".

Good, mindless home pr0n.  Obviously the producers have the homeowners over-dramatize things.  And the clientele seems to be primarily Canadian 1%'ers (the homes seem to average $500,000 and up).  :P

SVU's episode heavily based on Chris Brown/Rihanna would have been okay if it had not featured Perez Hilton and Wendy Williams playing themselves. <_<  Also, randomly casting Dave Navarro was odd.

I thought it was one of their more preachier episodes lately.  And you knew how it was gonna turn out.

Yes it was very preachy - and yeah pretty weak as you know exactly what would happen.  So really, it was never going to be good...I've just lowered my standards for the last couple seasons. -_-
