Some movie about some dude selling Viagra and Zoloft and falling in love with some chick with Parkinsons.

It was decent. But seeing Anne Hathaway naked for a good portion of the film elevates it to pretty damn good. She is hot.

What movie was that?

[Edit: Love and Other drugs?]

Watching The Walking Dead. Zombie show on AMC.

So huh, I'm waiting for something original or cool to happen, but so far it's standard zombie fare with zero new ideas. Is there some cool twist coming up? I watched the first 3 episodes. How do these shows get approved...

Have there been other television shows about zombies?  :hmm:

I think the nice thing about Walking Dead is that the serial drama tv show format allows a lot more time to develop the story than a movie does. It also has a different pacing, more character development, etc.

No shows that I know of, but a gazillion movies. The acting is also pretty bad.

I saw it got renewed for a second season

Yeah, but they lack "feel". They don't come across as believable zombies at all.

I know Brain (ha!) is kidding, but I meant the non-zombie characters  :P

It's the exact same story than 28 days later, Dawn of the Dead, its sequels, those resident evil movies, Zombieland, I am Legend, etc. Why does it HAVE to be a virus? Why is it ALWAYS transmitted by bites? Why does society always break down completely? It's lazy and it's boring.

Slargos

The only boring movie out of the ones you mentioned is I am Legend, and only because it totally flaked out on the ending.

Slargos

Straw Dogs

Well. That was fail on an epic scale.

I kept waiting for it to improve, but it was shit all the way through.

I liked it better the first time, when it was called ... Straw Dogs.http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0067800/

Actually in Dawn of the Dead society held up pretty well.

Takes backs.  I was thinking of Night of.

Yeah, I thought that's what I said.

Haven't seen the Remake. I doubt it's any better.

Annoying woman. Annoying action scenes. Dustin Hoffman was a fucking prick. The laughing clown got on my nerves. The story was all over the place.

The only redeeming feature was tits, and precious little of it.

Edit: In addition I feel a bit cheated since the movie was billed as "Revenge", when the guy never actually finds out that his wife was raped. The "revenge" bit was incidental, and the violence is sparked by his defending a murderer from mob justice. Said murderer even making a grab at his wife aswell,

That is the zombie apocolypse setting. You might as well be saying why do westerns have to be in the old west or space operas in space. Its just the core setting and says nothing about the stories which can take place in that setting.

:contract:
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

Unknown- Rather good. Surprising it ended up being down to spies though, I was expecting something more supernational or sci-fyish.
