Pacing aside, the thing I like about Reducks is it follows Heart of Darkness much more accurately.

The big problem with both versions is that they leave off the ending to Heart of Darkness.

In Heart of Darkness, Kurtz tasks the narrator with telling his fiancee the truth about what happened ... but the narrator can't bring himself to do it. Comforting lies win.

His letter to his son, read through Willard, provides that function.

The History Channel, right? How'd they work the aliens and Hitler in?
My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

Legolas is in it.

Maybe the movie has a flashback scene or something for Frodo to be in. Like "old" Bilbo telling him about his adventures. There is a young and old Bilbo listed.

On the subject of Books-into-movies, I found this at imdb:

Lots of :bleeding: on that list.

And it seems WWZ won't be here until 2014. PITY.

Neil

Indeed.  By then, the zombie craze will be a thing of the past, and the movie will be lucky to turn a profit.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

There's an Azog listed.  Must be lots of flashback stuff.  I suppose that's how they are justifying/requiring multiple movies.

The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.   -G'Kar
