So The Event won't be renewed next year. The only American network TV show I actually watched.
Civis Romanus Sum<br /><br />"My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we'll change the world." Jack Layton 1950-2011

How the hell could you watch it?

Most of the good shows are on cable these days. Though if Josephus liked The Event...  :hmm:
To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

I thought it was Ok, for network TV. Once I invested 3-4 episodes, I thought I'd stick with it. I'm very brand loyal that way.

Still, yeah, most everything else I watch is on cable.

I tried keeping with it, but by the time it went on hiatus... Ugh

The Brain

Saw The Duellists again. It's such a great movie. And the shot at the end with Harvey Keitel at the river... most beautiful shot ever in cinema?
Women want me. Men want to be with me.

Yes.

Michael Corleone at the lake was better.

Grey Fox

I found it silly.  The guy speaks normal english all the way through the movie, and once it's revealed he's a russian spy, he starts speaking english with a russian accent.  So dumb.
I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.

You're both wrong.

The Little Birds strafing the Skinnies is the most beautiful scene ever to come out of cinemah.

V has been cancelled, btw.  Sad, but expected.  The show could have been way better with this concept, and it started so good, albeit some minor flaws, but they never corrected the flaws, unfortunately.

It's the same with all religious themes in shows that are meant to appeal to the masses, you can't prove or disprove god. At some point Anna will reach a wall where she can either find a soul or realize that the apparent soul is just an amalgam of various effects created in and by our brain and/or society.
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.
