I'm watching Murderbot.
It's decent.
Though huge questions on how this got made. It seems so very off for the kind of thing that usually gets produced.
Which is good.

It seems the Apple TV thing to do. They seem to lean into the less mainstream stuff with their shows and often keep them running for a couple of seasons. I don't think Netflix would have stuck with Mythic Quest for four seasons, or Foundation for three(+?) seasons (still need to watch last two episodes, but I guess I will wait for the finale on Friday to watch in one go ).

Still not sure why Apple have a streaming service. They are probably losing hand over fist on it, but I hope it lasts - as you say they produce interesting shows, give them money, and keep them on air.

Yes, I've never seen them, but I know she had a Hollywood career.

Incidentally on Apple TV, I've mentioned it before, but watch Pachinko. Its very good.

I've tried a show called Invasion. Only the first episode but can't get into it. Anyone know if it gets anywhere? Alien invasion shows tend to be poor.

It's one of those "it gets better in later seasons" thingie, but I'm not sure it gets *enough* better to warrant sticking to it if you aren't drawn to it in the first place.

I admit I'll watch alien invasion shows/movies like the proverbial houseviwes watch telenovellas.

Saw an ad on Disney yesterday that new season of Only Murders in the Building starts today. I will watch it, of course, but the last two seasons were a bit "eh", though they still had good moments.

I started and then put on the back burner season 4. I didn't really care much for the tenants in the other wing.

About 1B per year.  Their subscribers are also increasing as they continue to produce good (superior) content. Hopefully they keep at it.

Watched a Netflix Amanda Knox documentary. Damn, I can't remember seeing two people get so DESTROYED on camera before, and all by themselves. The makers must have loved how the "journalist" and the "Italian Sherlock Holmes" just kept digging, and digging, and digging. And both too unintelligent to realize that's what they were doing. Gold.

Watched the first three episodes - much better start than previous season IMO. Though still very absurd/silly. Téa Leoni is still hot. Selena Gomez has lost a lot of weight - maybe a bit too much?

Plus, again a selection of interesting guest stars - Dianne Wiest, Christoph Waltz, Renee Zellweger, ... plus TV faces like Bobby Cannavale, Keegan-Michael Key, Tony Plana ...
