Or they should include clear breaks stating "End of act 1" or "Chapter 2" so you know when to stop watching for the day.

But I'm with Sheilbh in this. Even superhero movies think they are doing War & Peace nowadays.

Last one I had was for the 70mm cut of Hateful Eight, but that was part of the gimmick.

Still pretty much a part of retro screenings, be it 70 mmm festivals or at Cinémathèques.

I've literally been sitting at home watching a movie on cable or Netflix or whatever. It's 1130 pm. I look at the time reemaining: 15 minutes. And I'm like, yeah, fuck that, I'm going to bed.

Only films I've seen with an intermission are Bollywood - but they are often very long so needed

Getting started with season 4 of DS9. Worf joins the cast in this one, always liked him from TNG. Plus that means lots of klingony stuff will probably happen.

So far my favorite episode of the season is the one where the Defiant chases the Jem'Hadar into a gas giant, gets severely damaged in the confrontation and it becomes a "damaged sub trying to escape" episode. Some really good moments and character building.

Only movie i've seen in a theater with an intermission was Laurence of Arabia.
