The trailer is out for the new Masters of the Universe Netflix show, the one produced by Kevin Smith, and it hits me right in the center of childhood nostalgia. And the soundtrack is chef kiss worthy.

Personally, I think the animation style is kinda ugly...but I don't get your point.  It just seems like they're playing it pretty close to the original style.

He-Man sucked. I found it boring when I was a kid (but still got the action figures).

I mean every character had like only 4 different animations. It was a terrible cartoon.

In Germany we had audio dramas of He-Man (a popular medium in the 70s and 80s), usually around 45-ish minutes, IIRC?



I had a bunch of them (up till #13 or so; I kinda grew out of them afterwards). They were decent adventure stuff, some better than others. On par with the cartoon, I'd say?

We had those in Spain too. I mean, I don't know if there were the same as the German ones, but there were cassette adventures of He-Man. They came with the action figures.



I might still have some at my parents' house.
