Watched the first episode of Loki. It had some fun moments but it felt a bit flat/slow. Then again, it's a set-up episode so I'll cut it some slack. Hiddleston is as entertaining as ever and Wilson is good, too.

I'm starting to feel that the "supernatural enviromnent as 1950s office building" thing is played out.

Couldn't disagree more, but after all the subtle nods Disney's been putting in their properties, my jaw just hit the floor that they were so blunt about what they were lining up. I'll keep quiet for now though, because I realize being a huge Fantastic Four nerd puts me in the extreme minority.

There is a Marvel spoilers thread you could use.
To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

DS9 Season 2 - Just watched the episode about O'Brien thinking everybody on the station are evil dupes. I always loved these "Star Trek as twilight zone" episodes, and this one was pretty nice. Possibly my favorite of the show so far.

DS9 is notable, among other things, for its "O'Brien must suffer" episodes. :D

Colm Meaney's star trek career trajectory was kind of interesting. Bit part transporter operator to being a major character on another tv show.
Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".
Hubris must be punished. Severely.

I'm sure there must have been a brief time when he was one of the most famous Irishmen abroad.
Right behind Pierce Brosnan and Bono.

O'Brien was already pretty popular as a minor character in TNG.

Next episode of the list is the one with Dax and three old klingons looking to avenge the death of their sons 80 years ago in Dax's previous life. This was pretty damn good too (then again, I love klingons being klingon-y).

It's a great old school "one final battle" story. Not to mention that the original Klingons from TOS all show up again with their original actors. John Colicos as Kor (from Errand of Mercy), Michael Ansara as Kang (Day of the Dove) and William Campbell as Koloth (The Trouble with Tribbles).

I did not know that. :o

I thought all three were pretty great in their roles. Might seek those old episodes, but I haven't watched any of TOS since I starting growing a beard

Errand of Mercy and Trouble with Tribbles are absolute classics of TOS.

I don't remember Day of the Dove.

The Larch

The trailer is out for the new Masters of the Universe Netflix show, the one produced by Kevin Smith, and it hits me right in the center of childhood nostalgia. And the soundtrack is chef kiss worthy.

It's where an alien entity makes Klingons and Federation fight because it feeds off their aggressive emotions.

But will JM Straczynski return to write episodes? :P

(He wrote for the original show and he and a few other writers created the old She-Ra series based on the toys)
