Joker. Solid movie. Well acted. Interesting take on the Batman universe.

Be warned. It's very dark and punctuated with extreme violence. Not for the kids.

How well does it work as the Incel Triumph of the Will?

I think that is way overblown. If anything the film advocates fully funding mental health facilities and programs more than serving as a call to arms for pathetic losers who can't get laid.

HBO is airing a doc on Diego Maradona, specifically his time at Napoli, Great. 10 Hands of God.

Django Unchained. Jesus wept, what garbage. If you're gonna make a movie about a serious subject like slavery it is good taste not to make it horrible, but I suppose the memo never reached Quentin. Portraying slavery guys as cartoonishly evil buffoons... portraying the reaction of being rescued from slavery which included whipping, rape etc as a happy smile like getting out of a boring work assignment or something (instead of weeeping with relief, happiness and emotion)... the only thing worth watching is Leo at work which is a joy, but the rest of this abortion of a movie is best forgotten. This is the first post-Pulp Fiction Tarantino movie I've watched, but I hope they're not all as horrible.
Women want me. Men want to be with me.

That last sentence does not compute.
"I've never been quite sure what the point of a eunuch is, if truth be told. It seems to me they're only men with the useful bits cut off."
I drank because I wanted to drown my sorrows, but now the damned things have learned to swim.

I've heard good things about the latest one, I plan to watch it some day.

Also, dynamite in 1859? Brits fighting Verdun eat your hearts out.

Kill Bill and Jackie Brown are both good.
To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

Admiral Yi

Jackie Brown is watchable, Kill Bill is not.

celedhring

Kill Bill part one is one of the most entertaining movies he's made, imho.

Jackie Brown I like a lot, too.

Inglorious Basterds was very entertaining, though I suspect this crowd would hate it due to it's, uh, ahistorical aspects.

The first 20 minutes or so of Inglorious Basterds is among the best 20 minutes in cinematic history

Jackie Brown is excellent. Can't say I've made a point of watching his other post-Pulp Fiction stuff so not sure.
