Death of Stalin - laugh out loud funny - which is a bit unfortunate because I was watching it on a plane.  Palin's performance was perfect and a well practiced role from his Python days.

Fabulous movie. I need to watch it again. Beria got what he deserved.
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

Finally got around to watching the restored* version of Ken Russell's 'The Devils' - a masterpiece, certainly a stand-out performance from Oliver Reed.

* the dvd extras are well worth watching as they included much of and about the censored scenes, that have not beenable to be put back into the remastered UK version.

So, while most of you don`t care about children`s programming....

My kids started watching Hilda on Netflix.  They were immediately entranced with it - like they have been very rarely before.  I quite enjoyed it too.

Something Thread.  Daniel Day Lewis made a rare bad choice on a post-retirement script.  He's a high society designer in 1910s (?) England, she's a great complexioned Kraut/Scandi chick who exposes his closet homosesuality  Hard to care.

I think you missed the thread of this movie.

Since Daredevil is coming back to Netflix this month, I've been putting myself through the effort of finishing Luke Cage season 2 (which is kinda meh compared to the first). And I see there's even a season 2 of Iron Fist... now that's going to take major willpower to go through.

That's the Horse, right? My children are still too freaked out by the trailer to watch it.

My son likes to watch Power Rangers.

First episode of Daredevil season 1 really pissed me off and was probably the final straw for me in terms of superhero movies/series.

That episode was a decently written detective story. Except it was with a superhero. And it was all acclaimed at the time. If they wrote a general investigation story without superheroes, nobody would had cared. But because there was a blind guy kungfuing everyone, it was suddenly awesome. Sad!

I realised that I gave up on Luke Cage Season 2 and have no desire to touch Iron First.
