Why has Michael Cerra disappeared?

Checking his wiki it says that he did 5 movies last year (mostly indie stuff but also including Molly's Game, as Cel mentioned, plus voice work in the Lego Batman movie), and has 3 already announced for this year, plus stage work. Maybe you're just not watching them.

The screenwriter for The Revenant has joined Quentin Tarantino's Star Trek movie.

Loved Di Caprio's dialogue in that movie.

:D

I got the whole authenticity, production values and superb cinematography, but oddly the film left me feeling cold.

WAD for a movie taking place in frozen areas.   :P

So, Gods of Egypt. Pretty bad, Alex Proyas has had a really disappointing career since Dark City. Even The Crow showed some promise even though it's probably the most 90s movie ever.

That boy looks about 13.

He's 33 for fuck sake!   :glare:

Isn't that a bit too mature for you? Also you did pick a photo of him looking like a child.

The Crow is awesome.

Has anyone seen Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri? After I saw it was McDonagh directing it it's now on my need to watch list.

A friend of mine did and said it's great.

Paddington 2 (2018)

A breath of fresh air in a season of self important Oscar bait "Prestige" films.  Paddington is once again living the life of a free-wheeling bear from darkest Peru when misadventure and marmalade come his way.  Hugh Grant gives the performance of his life.  If you have any small children lying around the house, or could rent some for a couple hours, they should enjoy this as much as you will.   :bowler:
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

Tonitrus

Passengers

Pretty much a bad romance novel in a sci-fi film...driven by a plot device that while actually kinda messed up, presents an interesting moral dilemma (and would likely not have worked if male protagonist was a schlub instead of a hunk).

Pretty well done as far as production value goes, though.

garbon

Interesting moral dilemma? Yeah right, he's basically a rapist* and murderer*.

*though only in the rape by deception sort of way. -_-

*in the sense that he destroyed any chance of her having the life she had planned.

I've seen a couple of reviews that claim this movie is really quite, quite good.  Is this true?

Paging Mono:

If I wanted to watch one of these animes:

- One Punch Man
- Death Note
- Attack on Titan
- Samurai Champloo
- Full Metal Alchemist/ FMA: Brotherhood
- Sword Art Online

Which one should it be? I haven't watched anime in years (or decades?) and I fancy giving it a go. Those are the most popular in Netflix's Spanish catalog.

I haven't seen this one, but the first was excellent. Since you have kids, I absolutely recommend it.
