I don't get the Ethan Hawke hate.

He's a serviceable actor, but not "one of the most compelling of our generation".  OCN

Well, maybe your generation, which is just as plastic and transparent as he is.

Hell, Ide hes good, but I'd put Jude Law and DiCaprio ahead of him.

Both brilliant actors as well (and Law might have had the better performance, certainly the best scene, in Gattaca).  But I like Hawke a little bit better.  Or, maybe, I like Hawke's movies better--it can be difficult to disentangle performances from scripts and direction.

Hawke also gets credit for being a child actor who not only did not become a wreck, but went on to produce outstanding work, albeit with a never-tremendous and latterly-declining box office draw.  I guess DiCaprio may also share the former aspect of this good fortune--wasn't Gilbert Grape his first movie, though?  He was like 14 already.

Yeah, but that seemed more of a "warning" attack than anything else.  If the governor was going to take the prison, he'd have brought more troops.  And considering the Governor's sinister side, I'd say this attack was more in line with his personality:  just a warning, folks.  The next time, it's for real.  In the meantime, here's a zombie car bomb to think about. in the open like it's a spring day without a care in the world.  Pretty stupid.
