Thank you.  At least someone else around here has some taste.

Don't mind the groundlings, Shiv.  They know not what they do.

Sheilb is not a reference when it comes to cinema, he only likes boring movies :P
I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.

If Microsoft Excel decided to stop working overnight, the world would practically end.

You're all Hollywood's little monkeys.  BOOBS AND BULLETS DANCE LITTLE MONKEYS DANCE

Habbaku

Last Resort was pretty good.  It has me for at least a few weeks more based upon the setup.
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

Haywire and Drive are two excellent Friday night flicks.

Yeah, I was mildly surprised by Haywire.  Lots of fun.

It's been on my DVR but I haven't gotten to it yet.  The idea of saving a Chinese person's life seems odd to me.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

Keeping that in mind, I think you'll still be quite satisfied.

The Prestige- Gets pretty cool towards the end though rather meh for most of the film. It jumps around between times too much, you eventually get the hang of it but for a while I wasn't quite keeping track of the timeline of events and who was who

+1 How much plot can you really follow when perving Scarlett Johansson in steampunk outfits?
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.

I was.  It was an interesting film, full of action but not exactly an action movie.  Spy thriller/action movie, shot fairly simply but very well.  And a good cast to boot.

Hunger Games- It was pretty good though as the Disney version of Battle Royale it did cut out all the violence, which sucked.

For a Disney version it was still pretty brutal. Not that it made it any better.

Saw Looper and liked it, despite the time travel nonsense. Although after watching it I suspected it was one of those movies that China helped to finance (in the film America is a third world hell-hole, while the PRC is the global superpower), and I just found out I was right.  <_<
My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.
