The Knives Out sequel has got a trailer :w00t:

Gotta love how Dave Bautista manages to get himself in a bunch of cool projects. He must have one of the best imdb pages for a burly henchman-type actor.

Looks even more over the top than Knives out, I love it already.

I hope this ends up becoming a sort-of Poirot franchise.

Yeah, for a wrestler turned actor he has quite an impressive resume already, far more interesting than The Rock's, which is mostly cookie-cutter action pieces (and lately also comedies) with no substance.

I love it and can't wait. Same I really hope it (and Daniel Craig's magnificent/absurd accent) becomes a film version of an Agatha Christie world.

Netflix's deal was for 2 sequels, so we'll get another one at the very least.

New trailer for Netflix's adaptation of All Quiet On The Western Front.

They should do Storm of Steel.
Women want me. Men want to be with me.

Syt

Come to think of it, this seems to be the first German adaptation of the book. It says "in selected theaters." If it's screening in Vienna I will definitely try to catch it.

The 1930s Hollywood version is actually a pretty good movie. It was mandatory viewing in my film adaptation class.

Syt

It's very good and the original German dub  is something that later wasn't done, i.e. using authentic dialects for the characters, depending on where they were from, like North German or East Prussian.

I guess I heard a later redub because I could not stand the too recent technical side vibe of it, as in not sounding as a 1930's movie. Dialects also evolve with time.  :hmm:

Instead of a remake? Oh, yes. Jünger's work is not easily adaptable as well(not anti-war à la All Quiet on the Western Front).

Anyways, been watching season 1 of Community. I missed way too many episodes last season.

 Did you enjoy them? Did you miss any of the great episodes towards the end?

As for myself, I just finished "Downton Abbey", a gorgeous and surprisingly enjoyable Brit period piece, with pre-WWI Edwardian nobilty prancing around with sticks up their arses.
Doesn't hold a candle to Cougarton Abbey

See How They Run.

Another film that's had quite mixed reviews, but I really enjoyed it. Worth giving a go if you liked Knives Out or enjoy young Richard Attenborough's work.
