You don't wear towels in a sauna.
Remind me not to go in after you.

Why bother go in if you're going to wrap yourself in a towel?

Presumably the same reason you'd go in otherwise, to bask in the steam.

Why would you want to be wrapped in a sweaty towel?

Eddie Teach

Saunas aren't my thing.
To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

Started to try and watch The Queen's Gambit...became interminably bored with it and quit inside the first episode.

I must be: a Philistine.  :(

I feel like we'd already established that.  :hmm:

The Philistines were actually very sophisticated.  You are more like a hill dwelling Israelite  :P

It takes 3 episodes to get interesting, imo.
Colonel Caliga is Awesome.

Admiral Yi

I thought the orphanage stuff was some of the best part.

No way man, the orphanage parts were compelling and sets up the whole story.

Same, especially the small personal tragedy that is revealed later on
with both not getting to see Mr. Shaibel or paying him back
.
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

I was bored by Queen's Gambit, too. And I promise I'm not a "hate something because everybody likes it" person  :P

Honestly I realised I would have to pay attention to it so stopped watching.

I watched a fair amount of serious, attention-needing things in the first lockdown. This time I've mainly been interested in TV that just washes over me, that I can very easily watch while I'm on my phone and dip in and out of.

With the single exception of Spiral/Engrenages which I take in small doses.

Yeah, strangely I find myself in the same mood, and has been like that for a while. I have a long list of "serious" movies/shows I want to watch, but when I sit down I find myself just browsing for something light and fun.
