Latest what we do in the shadows:
RIP The C-man
:weep:

I couldn't imagine a Colin-centric episode to be so much fun.

And this week it's the Mark Hamill episode!  :w00t:

It was awesome

Just watched it (I couldn't get to watch it last night so I did this morning, and it's kinda nice to start the day with some laughs), and I concur.

Jackie Daytona!   :lmfao:

Btw, every time it appears I enjoy the creepy haunted Nadja doll more and more.

Cross of Iron ... best intro credits for a WW2 movie?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sqwkpiFg4c

I remember seeing that a long time ago. I'd love to see it again. Trouble is since the death of video stores, it's hard to come across old films like this.

That's pretty damning.  :hmm: So legal streaming stops at 1980 or 2000 movies or what?
It's as old as Star Wars. Mind you, it's impossible to get a standard HD copy of the unadulterated version 1977 version as well.

I have it on blu-ray, but it should not be that hard to find online a physical copy.

Netlfix is a waste of time for any old movies, I find. Yeah I can buy it. Amazon.ca has it for $40. Think I'll pass.

Even taking into account the Canadian dollar that's pricey.
I got mine, a region B-only release, for a dozen of either pounds or euros (British release also available in Germany).

Have you tried renting on Youtube?  They have shitloads of movies.

you can't rent it. But it seems as though it's been uploaded by users.

The old Eastern European content-acquiring kid in me would have so much to teach you people. I, of course, do none of that stuff anymore.

That may be so but I doubt that kid could teach reading comprehension, at the very least:

Pretty obvious it could be found in  :pirate ways.

Tales from earthsea - even as ghibli films go I don't get it. Pretty though.

Watching Occupied. Good so far.

This has proven to be an excellent recommendation, I like the story lines and the plot points. Also the broader themes are interesting.

I'd think most Languishites would enjoy it if they gave it a go.

It was very silly indeed. Really funny, but also very very silly. Almost like a vampire saying that he's one in his business cards.

Berkut

Just finished Ken Burns documentary on country music.

Damn, that was excellent, and made me realize there is a lot of "country" music I actually like quit a lot.

Bad Boys III.

Probably the sillier of the three, yet dramatic at times.  Perfect action movie, imho.  These guys are so silly, and the chemistry between the leads is great :)

I quit halfway through. Boring retread.

It doesn't always have to be super imaginative to be funny. :)
And you missed the best part. :)

Tried to give Django Unchained another try.  No good.  Gave up.

It was fun to notice that the bright blue valet outfit Jamie chooses looks a lot like the converted Indians in Civ: Colonization. :)
