The only level of Pacino I accept is Devil's Advocate Pacino :contract:

What about Scent of a Woman Pacino? Not hammy enough?

New Pope - episode 7, ok that was odd.

what specificallly? I didn't find it odder than any other.

I think that's what I like about it, there's definately a neo-surrealism to the whole thing.

I mean that's pre-Devil's Advocate though :P

It's a performance that's a bit like seeing a volcano smoke and grumble before it erupts.

I think the "She's got a great ass!!!!" scene in Heat is peak Pacino.

Hunters - Amazon has developed quite an expertise making alt-hist nazi conspiracy shows that manage to be particularly boring. Also, somehow Pacino decided this was the best property for making his first subdued performance in ages.
damn!  I had hopes for this show, reading about it.  Oh well. :(

So being housebound has allowed me to binge GoT quite heavily

I've reached season 6 and realise I would actually be far more interested in a series about Richard E Grant's touring theatre troupe.

Also, this is clearly the season when they started to have too much money - hiring both Grant and McShane for basically cameo roles, outrageous <_<

Delighted to see Kevin Eldon go trans-Atlantic though.

IIRC the theatre troupe had a more extensive role in the books.

Hunters. The end twists were super cheesy. Overall, it feels like a bad Tarantino impression. Still somewhat watchable.

It feels like a Tarantino impression by somebody that has only watched the ear cutting scene from Reservoir Dogs and the trailers for Jackie Brown and Unglorious Basterds.

Polanski's movie won best direction at the french Oscars.

I've seen the first two eps of this season's Better Call Saul. I had thought it got picked up by a streaming services so I was happy to see it on AMC. I like it being a spin off of the time before Breaking Bad with many of the same characters.

Also watched the last episode of Breaking Bad. Great episode.  :) Makes me want to watch the whole series, again, probably for the fourth time. Maybe I'll do that next time the series comes on...

Time to ditch this passport and fully embraced your new nation :)
If you wait for a Quebec passport though, you might have some great-grandkids by then...

Although I loved Adele Hanael's anger.

Though still haven't seen Portrait of a Lady on Fire, which only just came out here but I hear it's very good.
