They care only about re election and POWER, not what is right for americans. We need to, as a nation, get back to our way of life as the founding fathers wanted it! The government is way too big, and socialism is not what james madison had in mind. We all need to get together and fight for what is right for the country!

We surround them by virtue of the principles we hold and the values we live by. Elections come and go, and not everyone who voted did so with any kind of principles in mind or knowledge of what they were voting for. Your candidate was designed to appeal to you and those who don't try to get the full truth before casting your vote for socialism and big governent, redistributed wealth. Obviously, you, Daniel, are an example of this, or you wouldn't call the folks who voted for anyone other than Mr Obama "dumbfu--s". Sounds like fear talk to me. You scared that we surround them? Actually, Obama's not really much of a socialist. He's pretty centrist, even for the Democratic party. I'm actually doing quite well for myself, because I work two jobs. And if I do, by some miracle, ever earn millions of dollars, I wouldn't mind paying more in taxes. This country's already given so much to me and my family, so why shouldn't I give some back? Daniel, first off you talk about how much Bush spent on "the war". That wasnt all on the war, secondly, Obama has managed to spend half of that 3 trillion, in 2 months as opposed to 8 years. Also, you may be doing well but thats because you ARE working 2 jobs, not becuase of the government giving you anything. Actually if it werent for the government you would be doing even better. If you want to pay more in taxes, have at it. But what makes it ok for the government to force people who already pay almost 50% in taxes to pay more? Thats great you wanna give back to your government but when will the government start doing what it was made to do and help out its people and not themselves?

Yeah, Obama has spent over a trillion dollars already, but economic recoveries do cost money. If the economy sucks now, imagine how it would be if all our banks went under. If our economy completely collapsed.. well, I hope you know how to grow food, because that's the only way you'd be eating. So yes, I'd consider the economic stimulus plan to be money well spent.

And actually, I went to college thanks to a government scholarship, not to mention the fact that I went to a state school. The University of Tennessee is a state school too, isn't it? If you don't want the government to give you anything, then I would suggest that you transfer to a private college.
