DG, if you compare her to other professional race car drivers she may be mediocre or even poor. But if you compare her to everyone who *wants* to be a professional race car driver, she's obviously one of the best. Even the most marketable athletes need to achieve a certain level of performance to be kept on(or Michael Jordan would have been filling seats in Comiskey Park instead of Birmingham, Ala.)

So if you were one of the Top 15 actuaries in the country, but not #1 would you be "not good at all" as well?
That's a terrible analogy, and it opens the door to a whole bunch of other terrible analogies.  The goal in any kind of sport is to beat the other people.  If you can't achieve that goal often enough, you're just not good, and don't deserve any hype.  Any terrible athlete is still in the 99th percentile of the population, but that's irrelevant.  Racecar drivers are not evaluated on their absolute driving skills, they're evaluated on their ability to win.

Is that the standard for evaluating top athletes now?

If they weren't good at what they did, there'd be plenty of people poised to take their job. So yeah.

Even assuming the validity of your argument, it doesn't work that way in racing.  Racing unfortunately is not meritocracy, especially not Indycar racing, which is a living corpse these days, threatening to become a dead corpse every off-season.  The teams are just struggling to survive, and often take on drivers who would pay rather than be paid to drive.

Being able to bring money is a huge part of success for an open-wheel driver.  Danica will not be in danger of losing her seat as long as she's physically able to turn the steering wheel and push the pedals (and doesn't lose her marketing appeal for some reason, obviously).  Her impending NASCAR fiasco will show just how low she ranks on the driving ability alone.

So DGuller hates woman and is curious about giving oral sex to men...i don't even have to finish the conclusion do I?

While I normally don't agree with DorseyGullermeister, I join him in his hatred of Danica. I wish Earnhardt Sr. was still alive to drive her bitch ass ass into the wall.

She is meh and not that attractive for all the hype.

I'm guessing Dguller is just emotionally exhausted from the whole ordeal.  Either that, or she personally told him she'd never have sex with him even if she won a gold medal at the Olympics.

I told him I wouldn't ever have sex with him again. No big.

I have no opinion of Downhill skiiers. Boring ass sport.

The canadian chick who won the ski cross is way hotter.

She was on the Colbert report.  She seemed nice enough.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011
