I guessed you missed the point of my reply. It was a joke :) To be honest, I'm not even sure what you were getting at in the first place - do you advocate deception of others, self-deception, or were you making some totally different point?

Anyhow, I'll cop both to a certain amount of vanity and a reasonable amount of issues as well; but the specifics of your analysis - from your understanding of 'adoring brides' and 'traditional cultures' to any 'lurking issues' - are pretty far off.
