I wonder what the human toll of the recession would be.  It seems like not a day goes by without news of fresh mass killing.  Good thing we also have let the assault rifle ban expire, so that someone who's gone off the deep end can kill 3-4 cops instead of just one or two.

Interestingly, none of these recent mass killings have involved assault rifles.

If you're going to kill cops than you need a rifle. It makes any protective vest into Swiss cheese.  Any rifle will do. People who don't know that much about firearms tend to over glorify the "auto" aspect of assault rifles. If anything, using an AK-47 on full auto makes you far less accurate, and therefore less dangerous, than someone firing a short three shot burst or a single shot. And a three shot burst is easily done on a rifle that isn't a full "automatic".

EDIT: I forget this is Languish. Any rifle that shoots a decent sized shell, so not a .22 or other similar popgun.

Some of the cops in California were killed with an assault rifle.  All three cops in Pittsburgh were also killed with assault rifle.

Obviously the assault weapon ban is working wonderfully to keep these weapons out of the hands of cop killing criminals.
