Wasn't the BSOD more of a Win 95 type thing?

I remember getting it while using 95/NT, but not for the brief time I used Win 3.11... :unsure:

What I sort-of miss (and by sort-of I mean not at all) is the Sad Mac icon when mid-90s Macs would crash.

I seem to recall getting them in the Win 3.1 era, but the difference is that Windows 95 was both a) more widely distributed, and b) buggier IIRC. :)

Win 3.1 was pretty much a shell on DOS, there weren't a ton of services, processes, and malware running in the background like you'd find in later Windows versions that could crash out. Simpler is often more stable, if not as versatile, pretty or usable.
