Strawberry is good.
Strawberry AND banana is awesome.
Vanilla is the only one that seems pointless to me.

Chocolate is good with french fries for dipping.

I consider myself a milkshake connoisseur.

Chocolate and vanilla are merely ok.  Of the "basic three", strawberry has a special place in my heart.

Some of the best, non-standard flavors include peanut butter and orange, and especially huckleberry.

Banana is ok, and as Jaron said, strawberry-banana is fantastic.  Though in my experience, somewhat better as a smoothie than a shake.

And I found a grand, local place that serves up a multitude of flavors, the Lucky Wishbone.  Great fried chicken too.
