Just out of curiosity, how much snow is on the ground now where you live?  I know it's hella cold but IIRC it's pretty dry, too.

It's not always hella cold (though it is today), but you're right, it's a semi-arid climate.  Maybe 12" of accumulated snow at this point.

About the same as my neighborhood (parts of town have up to 3 feet of snow)
