Armed with my new-found knowledge, I'd like to say that is a Duplex house but there are also Duplex apartments :smarty:

Quoteduplex apartment

–noun an apartment with rooms on two connected floors.

Also called duplex.

A duplex is architecturally similar to a regular house, except there's a wall in the middle and two separate entrances to each wing. I believe a row house and a townhouse are the same thing.

By a private house, I meant everyone in the building lives with you. If you live in a subdivided building that's not a dorm or apartment, pick the duplex option.

Too late :p

I own everything, bricks, tiles and land, and only me and my family lives in the house, but it is built up against the next house,as is the next house and so on.

To translate into English English :

Duplex = Semi-detached
Rowhouse = Terraced house

I assume the corresponding terms would be "Parhus" (two units, one building) and "Radhus" in Swedish.

Doh! Forgot about mobile homes. I guess FB will just have to put "other."

Other: Condominium.  My Fortress of Solitude is on the 3rd floor of a 3-story building.

Second floor (third to Yanks and select ROTWers) of a three-storey builing, i.e. top floor.

Guess "storey" is another word we put extraneous letters in.

I like your spelling better in this case, as in most cases (e.g. armour, favour).

The one I HATE is: tyre. :bleeding:
