Except this game is still far from over.  Khabibulin has been standing on his head tonight & has been the difference in the game.  Well, that & my cunning plan to drink Labatt's Blue tonight so that I can get inside the Canadian's heads & crawl around in the pelts for awhile.  But, that's a story for another time...

That can't be it - I'm drinking Blue and the Flames are still losing...

Oh, I like Blue a lot.  I mostly drink PBR & drink Guiness whenever I can get my mitts on it, but Labatt's Blue & Negra Modelo definitely make (relatively) frequent appearances in my repertoire.

That was a sweet fucking goal by Bertuzzi at the start of the third period -- so sweet & so early that I was ready to poop my pants.  The Flames played a hell of a series, and as much as I'm personally worn out on Keenan & his conniving ways I'm hoping that the rumors I've heard aren't true & the Flames keep him around.  They really do have a good team, but some key injuries at a poor time on their part & a Blackhawks team that found their stride at the right time this year all just happened to collide at once.

That all being said, though, it's now safe to Scoreboard Watch.  The Ducks are up on the Sharks 3-1 in the 2nd intermission, and if they can hang on it'll be Hawks/Vancouver & Detroit/Anaheim in the 2nd round...

a detroit/hawks conference finale would be a bonanza.

I hope its not canucks/ducks. timezone is all wrong.

It didn't take you long to become an EST snob. :(

The time zone thing has been fucking killing me, too -- and given a choice between the Hawks playing Vancouver or San Jose next round isn't likely to help any, either.  I usually go to bed at 9pm so that I can roll out at 5am, so these 8pm starts CALGARY TIME (9pm Chicago time) have really knocked my dick in the dirt.  I couldn't even make it up for game 4.  I was very, very grateful for the 7:30pm MTN/8:30pm Central start tonight...
