Folks in Columbus take hockey seriously?
Why wouldn't they?  They have a team that is improving, and right now is hockey season.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

It's possible for anyone to take hockey seriously?

You've never been to Montreal, have you?

There's 3 daily nite shows dedicated to analyzing/debating the Habs. They like to pretend it's about sports, but really it's just the Habs.

Also, Basketball lovers need to die.

What's with the octopus throwing?

What's with the octopus throwing?

It's a lot like the National Anthems, a stupid tradition.

What's with the octopus throwing?

It started out a long time ago in an arena far, far away.  Back when there were fewer teams, a club would have to win eight games to win the Stanley Cup.  A local fishmonger  felt that since an octopus has eight legs, that it would be lucky.  Tradition was born.

I just about shat myself when the Flames blew a 3 goal lead in the second.

But they came out with the W in the end. :yeah: :yeah: :yeah:

It's anybody's series now...

I was sick Wednesday night & probably wasn't going to stay up late anyways, so I turned the TV off after the 2nd Calgary goal in the 2nd period.  Which is probably just as well -- if I had stayed up late enough to see the 2nd period end 4-4 & then saw the Hawks lose I probably WOULD have shit myself.

HUGE game tomorrow night, obviously.  I'm looking forward to it.  I think the situation merits The Whole Shabang:  grilled animal flesh, fancy beer, busting out the #69 Hawks jersey & posting pics of my playoff beard.  Whatever it takes, Baby...

They beat the Southleast Division winner. /golfclap

You know, quite a few people think Washington are a pretty good team these days.

Find a good goalie than you will be.

That's almost exactly my thought (well, no playoff beard).  I might even dig out my Flames socks. :alberta:

Well, it's not over yet.  ALMOST over, sure, but the Sharks could still pull one out of their ass.  Well, THREE, actually, but work with me here...

Hey -- win, lose or draw, this Calgary/Chicago series has truly been something special, and no matter who wins I hope that they go on to Bigger & Better Things this year.  So, with no further adieu...
