Texans - 9ers this week.   The last time they played, it was "for Reggie Bush."  They're both better now. ^_^

Edit:  Oh it's in Houston.  I thought they were playing in SF for some reason.

Fisher needs to put on a jersey and play defensive back, because even with his age and his crippling, he's probably better than most of the guys the Titans have been playing in the defensive backfield.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

Cushing is the AFC defensive player of the week.  9 tackles, 2 FF, 1 INT.

Ed Anger

Bears-Bungles prediction: Bungles tight ends will drop the ball repeatedly, causing Carson Palmer to snap and murder one at halftime.

I will cheer that.

ESPN Page 2 had a funny little thing about how sportswriters should take a mulligan for bashing the Texans for taking good Mario Williams instead of shitty Reggie Bush.

Also, Adalius Thomas deserves all the bad things that are happening to him right now.

LOL.  Mike Pereira is about to go on the NFL Network and explain why the measurement where the refs gave the Steelers a first down when they were several inches short.  Somehow, I doubt it'll be the real answer, which relates to online jersey sales.

Heh heh yeah I just saw that actually.  I also liked the one for Robin Ventura.

QuoteJust when it couldn't get any worse for the woeful Cleveland Browns, it got worse.

The team has been hit by the flu.

On Wednesday, 12 players, including Pro Bowl nose tackle Shaun Rogers and five other starters, missed practice with flulike symptoms as the team began installing the game plan for Sunday's matchup against the Green Bay Packers.

Coach Eric Mangini scaled back the workout in hopes of keeping his healthy players from getting sick. He's also emphasizing preventive measures to stop the virus from spreading further. If players are showing any symptoms, the Browns are sending them home.

As the Browns were practicing, a large box containing white pharmacy bags containing Tamiflu, a prescribed medicine to treat and prevent flu, was delivered to the team's headquarters.

The Browns' sick players are: Rogers, running back Jerome Harrison, center Alex Mack, cornerback Anthony Madison, safety Brodney Pool, tight end Robert Royal, wide receiver Chansi Stuckey, linebacker Jason Trusnik, defensive end Brian Schaefering, fullback Lawrence Vickers, defensive end Corey Williams and linebacker Kamerion Wimbley.

QuoteTwo-time Pro Bowl linebacker  Adalius Thomas faces the possibility of being benched by coach Bill Belichick for the second straight game even though he's healthy.

Thomas, a former Raven, started the first five games but had just 12 tackles. His lone sack came in the opener.

If Thomas is inactive again, at least he won't be caught off guard. He said he was "shocked" when he was told just before the 59-0 win over the Titans that he would be inactive. So he went home and watched the game on television.

Way to be a team player, AD.  Welcome to Belichick's Doghouse, where the laws of nature do not apply.

Hey, he might give a similar answer to the one that Ump did who screwed up the call in the Yankees game. To paraphrase the guy, "Yes, I have seen the replay showing that the guy was clearly not on the bag but I don't believe the replay is showing what really happened, I know he was safe".

I look forward to the Jets Defense making Jamarcus Russell look like a Probowler   <_<

Woah.  I know that the Jets are finished without Jenkins, but let's not go crazy here.  Russell is the worst QB in living memory.  He makes Kyle Boller look like Joe Montana, Brady Quinn look like Peyton Manning and Ryan Leaf look like Johnny U.  Even when he has played relatively well and won a game, he still looks retarded.

Yeah but... ah fuck it.  You're right. <_<
