So, obviously I have heard of this show before but never got around to seeing it. Have been watching it since yesterday (brought the first series with me on my trip and watched 5 episodes on the plane) and I'm loving it.

If it had more gay sex it would be perfect. :P

I also checked that the actor playing Octavian was 17 when they started shooting the series.

So perving about him is: legal.  :P

There is gay sex in the second season I think.

Six Feet Under has mucho faggotry, and it's a few years old now...perfect for you.

I watched it two years ago. :P

HBO and Showtime are my favourite networks.

Ed Anger

I pretty much hated the show. Too much titty and jaw-jaw, not enough cohorts killing shit.

It was definitely not a military history of the period, to be sure.

What saved it for me was the grit, the score, and the acting.  Except for later Octavian, it was pretty much perfectly cast for its purposes.

Pullo and Vorenus are on my list of favourite fictional charactars evarh!  :D

It was a brilliant show, historicity be damned.

Pullo for me, for sure.  Vorenus was far more generic (and Kevin McKidd a more limited actor, from what I saw).  I loved Ciarán Hinds as Caesar, though, more than anyone in any other role on the show.

I still think of Pullo when I see you post.

Ceasar is perfectly cast for me, both in terms of his looks and his behaviour, that's exactly how I would have imagined him.

I like Pullo, but my favourite character is Atia.
