Cool, so if i buy the box set i can get the Wii game?  :mmm:

V

I guess you can...  one is not necessarily dependent on the other, though :P

I can only find box or game.. not a package :(

The box would be a great excuse to get the game ;)

Garbon's more of a Herman's Hermits fan.

Ah.. the game is not a guitar hero game? So the GH gear will not work or??

Beatles Rock Band is a pretty solid game as well.  You can tell they put a buttload of effort into it.

Spectrum just had an article on how they made it:

http://www.spectrum.ieee.org/consumer-electronics/gaming/the-making-of-the-beatles-rock-band

Most of the Beatles early recordings were on a four track; so they had to use the sort of filters the police use to isolate voices in order to take out individual insturments and vocals.  Also they had to please Ringo, Paul and Yoko.

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

Imagine? Give peace a chance? Jealous guy? Woman? Not even those?

No, sir.  "Imagine" in particular grates on me, but that probably shouldn't surprise anyone ;)

I should have guessed that imagining is probably un-germanic and/or dangerously liberal for you.  :P

How could you skip "Watching the Wheels"?

Oops, I thought you were talking about the music CD box set.  The bundle with all the instruments does include the game.

I'm not sure what the compatibility is for the Wii version, but on the 360 I'm able to use both my Guitar Hero guitars and the Microsoft-branded microphone with the game.

This chart should help you: http://www.rockband.com/compatibility

Snopes has a good summary (which I double-checked to make sure I had the facts right ).

Caliga

Maybe I should get this for my 360 or Wii.  Princesca and I like to sing songs together.  We're particularly good at harmonizing to "Cotton Fields" by CCR. :smoke:

Then buy Lips for the 360 if you can find a deal. It has some CCR songs you can download.  It got so-so reviews but it's a fun party game.  Of course, Beatles Rock Band is also fun to play with multiple people (you can just sing if you don't want to play any instruments).

My wife will play the Lips game with me sometimes, but she absolutely hates when I play any Rock Band or Guitar Hero game.

No the controllers for most of GH and Rockband's previous versions will work with the Beatles edition.

Understandable for GH and Rockband not allowing their rivals controllers to be used but their own games?
