See, we already did the famine thing.  The UN cried famine in 2024, claiming there was insufficient food entering Gaza.  They had to back track on that, there was sufficient food coming in.  Oops.  It's like the 16,000 babies that would die in 48 hours claimed last May.  

Anyway,

Break the morale.  Make them hate the war and really want peace.  When they say they want death, call their bluff.  Give them what they ask for.

Missouri had a insurgent problem during the Civil War.  An enterprising sociopath and Southern sympathizer named Anderson kept attacking US troops and militia around the town I now live in, Columbia Mo.  He and his men captured a passenger train about 20 miles from Columbia in a town called Centralia, He and his men executed the two dozen furlough US soldiers on board.  Then they scalped the bodies.  A Union militia formed and tried to drive off the insurgents but where ambushed and slaughtered.  The insurgents executed the wounded and any man who tried to surrender.  In response the Feds burnt the town of Rochport, about 15 mile from my home, to the ground.  They depopulated 4 counties in Western Missouri in an effort deny civilian aid to the insurgents.

War is cruelty, and I think we made a mistake trying to refine it.

I'm so tired of these comparisons. WW2 was 80 years ago. The Geneva Convention didn't even exist. Aren't we supposed to evolve as a species?

The Geneva Conventions date back to the Nineteenth Century, so were well in place long before and during WW2.

Fine. I'm referencing the convention of 1949, post ww2. The protocol 1, which is sort of an add on that relates to civilian protections, has not been ratified by Israel. Happy?

Sure. But how are you going to ascertain whether someone was a militant or not? They don't use uniforms or any formal identifier.
