Turkey is my favorite (and Cranberry Sauce my favorite side.)  Following Josq's line of thinking, the best part is the turkey tamales with cranberry sauce I'll make out of the leftovers.
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

Let's bomb Russia!

I do love Green Bean Casserole so I guess I fit in. I voted that but the stuffing is more of a highlight for me.

Zmiinyi defenders: "Russian warship, go fuck yourself."

Apparently I moved from Brown Gravy to Mashed Potatoes.  This just shows me that now, more than ever, we need to get along.
I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

What is White Gravy?

And could SNL please to a skit about that.
I believe it is a (US) Southern abomination of grease made into a roux and mixed with some cream.  Basically a bachemelle with pork fat as the base instead of (just) butter.
PDH!

A delicious abomination.

And brown gravy I guess is just gravy?

Only German Kohlrouladen shall suffice!

My dad loved those.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

The Brain

In Sweden those are called kåldolmar, a word that is partly Turkish, and this is likely the result (in one way or another) of Charles XII's stay in Turkey in the early 18th century.

Only German Kohlrouladen shall suffice!

This is how you can tell Germany is a rich country (cabbage filled with meat), and Ukraine is a poor country (cabbage filled with rice).

Holopchi are still very good.  Being rich Canadians we sometimes crumble a tiny bit of meat into the rice mixture, but it's still primarily rice.
Posts here are my own private opinions.  I do not speak for my employer.

The version my mom was taught by our neighbour was a mixture of rice and meat, I'd say 70 meat? Maybe less.
Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".

My mom makes this awesome oyster stuffing. She doesn't care for it but my brother and I love it, so that's my choice. That and pumpkin pie.
