Unless those using "their vehicles in their jobs" includes those who use their pickups for their daily commute to work.

Most of the people that I've known in my life that drove pickups were contractors/tradesmen that need them for carrying tools & materials:  carpenters, plumbers/pipefitters, electricians, roofers, drywallers, HVAC, etc.  It's not always obvious what it is that they're doing, but I would definitely say that these people regularly need "their vehicles in their jobs."

Pick up trucks tend to be useful out in the country side.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Doesn't match very well with the statement in the same article that truck sales account for 75% of vehicles sold by Chrysler, 62% for Ford, and 60% for GM.  Heck, according to the article, even for Honda and Toyota, it's 42%.  Now that does count SUVs and vans in with light trucks, but there's no way truck sales are that big a percentage of all new vehicle sales if 75% of pickup buyers use them in their jobs.  Unless those using "their vehicles in their jobs" includes those who use their pickups for their daily commute to work.
So, in the heyday of SUV sales, there were a lot of SUV sales.  That says nothing about how pickup truck owners use their pickups.  The 75% tally is about what I see, out here in pick-em-up-truck-land.

Next he'll quarter you in someone's house.
That sounds inconsiderate.  Isn't quartering someone usually very messy?

I think you're thinking about being drawn and quartered.  Which is also on Obama's to-do list, I bet.  ;)

Ak47s?

Bah.

It works, get the job done, most of the time....

That it does. I'd use the 450 to get an SKS (about 200 or so) and put the remainder on a pistol. I love the SKS-M.

Commie.

I'd rather spend 200 on a SKS-M than a thou on an AR-15. SKS-M does the job just as well.

Depends of the job, depends of the range.

The SKS, despite what wanna-be snipers might think, does not have a range or accuracy advantage on a M-16, let alone on a proper rifle.

SVD have a 4 power scope and its effective up to 800m max.

My M110, which is nowhere as good as my shooter's M24, have a 10 power scope and is accurate up to 1000m shooter dependant. I have taken out e-type pop-up siluetes all the way to 1200m with my M110. I can't get a head shot pass 700, but center mass, add 500m to my range.

You don't know what the fuck you are talking about.
