Interesting to see how some countries are generally less trusting (US, Poland) than others.
And the opposite - quite keen on Indonesia and Mexico's "don't care, just happy it's a vaccine" approach

Guys, come on. You live in China and somebody calls you up "which country's vaccine you trust most"? You have to be really suicidal not to say "China".

Same goes to a lesser degree to Russia.

 You don't get shot or thrown out of balconies for saying that you don't trust our country's vaccine, at least not for a first offence.

You probably do lose a few social credit score points for no good reason though.

British-made vaccine not that popular in France and Germany.  :P :frog:

1820 UK deaths reported today, likely to top 100,000 by the end of the month.  :(

Looks like Germany is Mr. Congeniality, as always.

After all that has happened the Germans still feel, deep down, that they are superior to all others.

The French just don't like vaccines sadly. So much for the cult of reason :weep:

Stories from vaccinations - still no date for my dad who is just outside of priority 1 (he's 79) and none expected any time soon. The South-West is rolling out the vaccine at the same pace as everyone else but apparently has a lot of over 80s and retirement homes - who knew?

My uncle who is 89 got his in Liverpool. In part his story worried me a little bit because they were all waiting (socially distanced) in a warm (non-ventilated ) waiting room. But he said he basically went in, everyone's over 80, they sit down (socially distanced) to wait for the vaccine and about half the room immediately fall asleep. The other half are deaf or hard of hearing so when the nurse comes out and calls the number of the next person "purple 16" or whatever, no-one moves and then they have to try and wake the person up while still keeping their distance  He was chatting to the cleaner on the way out and she said it was apparently taking about 4 times as long as it should to give everyone their vaccine because there's so much faff in the waiting room - it turns out the elderly are not a speedy group :P

Mother-in-law (91) gets her jab today at our local practice

Apparently the procedure there is ring the bell and tell them you have arrived then wait in your warm car till called for; she will fall asleep of course, but its good for social distancing.

Girlfriends dad got his vaccine yesterday afterall. No allergy tests or anything before hand. I suspect doctors just weren't talking to each other and second time around he got a less cautious one. No ill effects reported

Further evidence we should close the whole thing down and rebrand.

Because if there's one brand more popular than the British, it's the English :P

I feel like the French should've had their own vaccine out by now. The Brits, Yanks, Chinese and Russians all have theirs up and running. :hmm: Isn't Sanofi nominally French?
