Silliest flight I've taken was Porto - Lisbon. Barely 45 minutes, the plane doesn't even climb very high in the sky at all.

Considering the fastest train connection is 4 hours and the flight 1 hour, I don't blame them for taking the plane.

Whether all these trips are really necessary is a different question.

Add 1.5 hours travelling to Vienna airport and check-in time, more if rush hour.
Add 1 hour disembarking and travelling into Munich, more if rush hour.
Consider four hours of uninterrupted work time on the train.

In Spain back in the day the busiest air route by far was Madrid - Barcelona. Now that there's high speed train between both cities the number of those flights has plumetted.

Like the flight from LA to Palm Springs. :D

Barcelona-Palma de Mallorca is 35 minutes. But that one makes sense, at least  :P

I'm dissapointed to just see a glass sign and not a sex butt

I've always wondered how well the Monopoly board translates to today.
Of course we're adding a bunch more zeros to the prices, but in terms of relative wealth and rank. :hmm:

You correct people who call the NYT The Times, so you gotta play by the same rules.

Btw, when I was on Vienna's main shopping street, it was quite crowded, esp. for a Tuesday morning. Many school aged kids and teens, probably because class groups are still alternating AFAIK. Some people with masks, some without. There's no requirement for masks in shop since yesterday, and I feel you can tell that shops are back to normal.

1 meter distance is still mandatory, but I didn't feel anyone was going out of their way to keep it at all times.

The results are in from day 1 of screening all passengers. Found 2 infected, one had antibodies and could continue his holiday, the other one did not so has to be quarantined and monitored. One of the policemen involved with the Romanians got infected as well. Everyone around him will be tested and isolated.
