Chapter 11 means you hand over control of your finances to the court in return for temporary protection from creditors.

But is it a requirement to move the business to another state?

Today, my mother put in our family group text, "God bless all!!! Stay close to the Lord these next few weeks, something big is coming!!!"

I see in r/insaneparents that there seems to be a whole slew of conservative parents giving ominous warnings of big events coming soon, a big change, so be safe and have cash and food stocked up. I understand that it's connected to Trump politics and some conspiracies, but how deep does it go?

I'm realizing that my mother is much more extreme than she initially let on the past couple years, and it's actually making me anxious.

What are the possibilities they believe in and how did they get led to these beliefs?

It could be only the usual doomsday cult, the end is coming, etc,etc.  Trump will vallantly triumph over his enemies and jail the child-traficker-Pence-sort-of-thing (yeah, he's with "them", now, don't ask ).

No, not a requirement.

Their creditors are threatening to sue, including possibly the government of New York if they owe them unpaid taxes (hence the line ""a corrupt political and regulatory environment in New York", so they are moving to Texas by declaring bankruptcy first, thus avoiding payment of their debts.  The NRA likely has little assets in its own name, and they'll relaunch in Texas as a non profit, meaning people giving to the NRA, in the future, will be able to deduce this amount from their income tax, as per relevant fiscal laws.

I read the State of New York wants to dissolve them for fraud or something.  I guess this is why they want to move from the corruption of New York.

Justice department just took back it's claim that the insurrectionists were planning to kidnap and assassinate lawmakers.  Either the "Strong evidence, including Chansley's own words and actions at the Capitol, supports that the intent of the Capitol rioters was to capture and assassinate elected officials in the United States Government." vanished, or someone called the Justice Department to complain.

Texas laws are all pretty populist so not as corporate friendly as they think.

But they definitely have lots of friends around here.

I don't think we have to worry about more trouble from Trump now.  He is extremely busy as he only has a couple of days to put the finishing touches on his game-changing, soon-to-announced health care plan.

Not to mention moving everything not nailed down out of the White House.

Seems to me that most of them just passively hope that something will happen that will validate all their beliefs so far. It's just that some more proactive ones might actually use it to start something coordinated.
