Half the key note speakers are women. Seems like a calculated move.

Roughly half the women are Trump's children/family. :P

Half the men too. No Trump can pass up a camera.

Also - if you look at the general list of speakers there are a lot of people employed by Trump speaking. It feels like conventions don't normally have this main aides and staffers as speakers.

Yeah I mean last week there were reports McConnell wouldn't be speaking because he'd be campaigning in Kentucky which is about as clear sign as you can get from the Congressional hierarchy: "don't worry about Trump, save yourselves." I think that was quickly walked back and McConnell has done a pre-recorded segment for one of the nights.

I'm glad they are doing everything they can to not seem like a serious party/candidacy.

Still find it extraordinary and grim to see someone in the Republican Party (the party of Reagan!) calling a Hungarian-American liberal an "enemy of the people". Whenever I see it on the right I still always very much associate it as a phrase with the Eastern Bloc

Was.

Now it's the party of Qanon, a movement that advocates a presidential coup and mass murder of political opponents.

This is what I am talking about. Do billionaires have way too much unaccountable political power? Yes.

But one of them, among dozens, supposedly has the entire world on his payroll. Yeah ok. The protocols of the elders of Soros.

I didn't know where else to put this but...

Kelly Anne Conway is leaving the White House and George Conway is leaving The Lincoln Project to "focus on their family". Basically, their 15-year-old daughter has filed for emancipation because her parents are driving her nuts, so they decided to stay home with her more. :)

them spending more time with her won't make even more eager to emancipate?

Oh, it will definitely make her more eager to emancipate.

He wasn't there again today
I wish, I wish he'd go away...
