Yes using Judaism as some kind of ethnic designation in order to get them protected under federal law. But how would that work for Islam? Would atheists who were born Muslims then be "Islam" in national origin?

By distinguishing between Islam as a religion and Judaism as a nationality, Trump can discriminate against Muslims without fear of collateral damage.
