It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

The Minsky Moment

We've had about 4-5 China deals already so I'll believe when it is done and formally signed.

52% of Americans support Trump's impeachment and removal.

The highest Clinton ever reached was 35%.  Nixon support for impeachment and removal hit 58% before he resigned.

It could hit 80% that he wouldn't resign.

If he has to leave, he will try to drag as much down with him as he can.

I don't care about what Trump will do.  I mean - I do, but assume it will be the worst possible thing.

But as these numbers go up they strat to give cover for GOP senators to break from Trump and vote to remove.

Maybe. But, I think, only if they start to show he's hurting them with their core vote which is, I think, still a little different from the Trump core vote.
Let's bomb Russia!

Not really.  That's been the problem - Senators don't want to break from Trump because Trump's voters are their voters - and they're more loyal to Trump than the senators.

But otherwise yes - if their own numbers are going down because of Trump, that's why they vote to remove him.

Donald Trump Jr about Hunter Biden on Fox News: "When you're the father and your son's entire career is dependent on that, they own you."

Well, he should know. :P

Funny how you can always tell when Trump didn't type a tweet himself. Probably gave the phone to Ivanka. "Here, you type something."

My warmest condolences to the family and many friends of Congressman Elijah Cummings. I got to see first hand the strength, passion and wisdom of this highly respected political leader. His work and voice on so many fronts will be very hard, if not impossible, to replace!

Well, at least he's not cheering the death of Cummings.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011
