I guess when the hospital ship you sent with more 1,000 beds and 11 operating rooms has only 8 patients, you're going to complain about costs.
That does seem a little wasteful.  Couldn't they find more patients somewhere?

Actually, that seems like more fake news.  Comfort getting 8 critical care patients does not imply that they have no other patients.  Now, the ship isn't going to have 1,000 patients aboard if the shoreside hospitals don't have 1,000 patients they cannot care for, because separating patients from their families, just to assuage Seedy's OUTRAGE!!!ONEONEONE over perceptions of inefficiency, is unwise.

Not to mention that Comfort's presence doesn't really help with the logistics of getting 1,000 patients from cut-off inland towns to the shore, let alone onto the boat. Or the sanitation and contamination issues in those towns where even trucks can't reach.

Actually, Comfort is designed to deal with exactly this type of situation, which is why it carries helicopters to evacuate patients and land medical supplies and personnel.

It's seen a total of 65 patients since Tuesday.
And I have no beef about its efficiency; it got there on time as late as it was ordered to :)

Quite frankly, I'm surprised it sailed to Puerto Rico at all.

I am still hoping beyond all hope that we are the leftist versions of Syt's sister, being fed all kinds of made up shit by our echo chamber like she and her ilk was about Obama and Clinton, and this is all not true.

You are not the leftist version of anything, Tamas.

Well yes I place myself on the centre, but that makes me quite a bit to the left of the Trump supporters, and most of Republicans too I guess.

Pretty much everyone places themselves at the center.

Not really. Many are proudly extremists.

I'm certainly not a centrist, nor an extremist.

From a far enough distance, my various extremes provide an overall equilibrium and harmony.  #FengSchwing

Sort of a moderate extremist.

While you're extremely moderate.  :P

The vessel of moderation can arrive at port only on a sea reddened by torrents of extremist blood.
