The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

 Was Price an anti-vaxxer?

Yes. Member of the AAPS "they cause autism" crowd, and didn't believe in federal requirements for them.

Just because he's a doctor doesn't mean he isn't a dumbass.  Fortunately he wasn't around long enough to break much.

Another of Georgia's finest scientific minds.  Ah, magnolias.

Tom Price was just trying to live his best life.

Not everything.  The Puerto Rico recovery is doing great, and they owe so much money anyway.

For too long, America has been getting totally ripped off by Puerto Rico in the worst colonial deal of all time, maybe ever.

He just tweeted that Puerto Ricans are too lazy to help themselves. :hmm:

The craziest thing is that he's going to be re-elected. Damn.

  It's Morning in America, alright.  Saturday Morning.

QuoteThe Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to Trump.

QuoteThe military and first responders, despite no electric, roads, phones etc., have done an amazing job. Puerto Rico was totally destroyed.

QuoteFake News CNN and NBC are going out of their way to disparage our great First Responders as a way to "get Trump." Not fair to FR or effort!

QuoteI will be going to Puerto Rico on Tuesday with Melania. Will hopefully be able to stop at the U.S. Virgin Islands (people working hard).

I was thinking last night as I read about Price's resignation, how gross it was that the news article was citing his resignation statement published on twitter. :yuk:

Could've been worse;  you could've been getting spammed every week with his travel pics, like we were.  I had to put him in my spam blocker at work.

Lada is coming to the US.

You laugh.  But there can't be any other explanation.

He talks of one of the most powerful world leaders.

That world leader praises him and flatters him like no one.

Other big foreign auto manufacturers don't have any plans.

Only two world leaders uses flattery like that on Trump: The Saudi King and Putin.

Saudi Arabia does not make cars, so it's got to be Russia.

Totally logical  :P

(coincidentally, Toyota announced investments at 5 plans to create... 50 jobs)

QuoteDETROIT — President Donald Trump teased an audience with what sounded like inside dope: Five big auto factories or expansions are coming soon to the U.S., he confided.
Reporting at an Indiana event Wednesday about his U.N. meetings last week, the president declared: "I was told by one of the most powerful leaders in the world that they are going to be announcing in the not too distant future five major factories in the U.S. — between increasing and new — five. You're hearing about that first.

"I said, 'Thank you very much.' And he said, 'You know what? It's starting to happen in the United States. It's starting to happen.' So I just wanted to let you know that. I promised I wouldn't say who. I'll keep my word, OK, unless you force me. ... It happens to be in the automobile industry."
Spokesmen for Hyundai, Honda, Subaru and Nissan all said they aren't aware of any large factory-expansion plans
