Quoteanything and everything can lead to lost opportunities. the DOW might go down, some items might get more expensive, but fuck it. check your privilege to the lower class

Right. And a huge asteroid might destroy the earth. So therefore we should not be concerned about bad government policy? Something something about your social status because that got into this conversation somehow.

Quoteright, and that's even less reason to be concerned

Because absolutely nothing will change in four years. We can do whatever and there will be no consequences. Interesting.

right, and that's even less reason to be concerned

Less than absolute?  Yes, but certainly plenty of reason to be concerned.  The idea that, since you have a detached garage, you should be less concerned about your house burning down, is absurd except in the most technical sense.  Similarly, the fact that Trump administration's incompetence and idiocy only have a limited scope to express themselves is only comforting in the narrowest, most moronic sense.

more like you have a mansion the (edit) size of manhattan and a few rooms get destroyed. oh well, it happens. in the history of the US, there will be good and bad times caused by good and bad decisions. germany is considering its options at this point, and that's perfectly fair. (1) it hasn't yet struck a deal with china to "oppose" anything. (2) even if it did, like I said, fuck em.

were you expecting trump to lead the nation into an era of greatness? this nation elected him, and it'll survive the next four years. you said something about hard times coming ahead -- I implied there weren't going to be "hard times" for the average decently-well-off american

What would be absolutely hilarious at this stage, is a China-EU trade alliance that would shut non-EU countries, like Global Britain, out.

That would force an alliance between the US, UK, and Russia. It has been a while, but that worked out well in the early 40s.

I think it will be hard times for the average decent American.

QuoteTrump's Immigration Ban Excludes Countries With Business Ties

President Trump is poised to sign an executive order that would suspend all entry to the U.S. from seven Muslim-majority countries in the Middle East, according to a draft proposal obtained by Bloomberg News. His proposed list doesn't include Muslim-majority countries where his Trump Organization has done business or pursued potential deals. Properties include golf courses in the United Arab Emirates and two luxury towers operating in Turkey.

Banned countries include:

- Lybia.
- Sudan.
- Somalia.
- Yemen.
- Syria.
- Iraq.
- Iran.

Allowed countries where Trump does business:

- Turkey.
- Egypt.
- Saudi Arabia.
- United Arab Emirates.

also, no way abe's japan sides with china against trump. abe is probably loving this and is eager to strip the guise and reveal the empire's rising sun

saw this the other day and thought, well, aside from iran, it's a pretty decent list if such a ban was inevitable. pretty much no good country made the list, just a bunch of shitty ones

I'm not defending Trump's massive conflicts of interest, but the 7 banned are, imo, in much worse shape than the allowed 4. If you gave me the list of 11 countries and told I needed to ban immigration from 7 of them, I'd pick the banned seven every time.

Shitty countries - as in the countries that genuine refugees come from.

there was no way trump was going to allow in those refugees

banning immigrants hurts relations. I'm glad he showed reserve and banned mostly the ones that made sense. again, it's unfortunate iran made the list, but there you go

Yeah and not the one where 15 of the 19 non-refugees came from.
