Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".

After complaining that Putin isn't there, Trump leaves the G7 summit early.

Is that Trump's version of dropping the soap?

Charles III might be the only Brit with any guts at all.

I think social media is going crazy over this for no reason.  A good explanation for what happened is simple courtesy.  An old man dropped something and the younger man picked it up.

:yes: Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

Yeah. Starmer has shown himself to be a spineless loser when dealing with Trump, that little symbolic incident had nothing to do with anything.

I get it, He is doing what he thinks is in the UK's best interests. However, he is misguided if he thinks playing nice is ultimately going to pay off.

Totally agree. I absolutely hate this stuff of the press asking about it, or say, this:

@Conservatives
Nothing summarises Keir Starmer on the world stage better than this image.

My take-away is that he has basic manners which is a good thing. If someone drops something I pick it up for them, it's being polite - especially, as you say, if they're older.

I also wonder what the alternative is supposed to have been? If he'd just stood there like a rabbit in the headlines suddenly determined to not be seen to bend over (and I do think there's a bit of a masculinities going on here), it would have got very weird very, very, quickly - the Liz Truss option, if you will.

But I felt the same with Theresa May and Trump holding her hand, which lots of Labour people attacked her for so I suppose what's good or the goose is good for the gander - but I hate it <_<

Rabbit in the headlines?  Clever if you meant it, even better if you didn't. ^_^

U.S. wine export market struggling after Canada 'pulled the plug,' expert says

QuoteWine firms here in the U.S. thought that a tariff on (imported) goods, including wine from Canada, would be a boon, but it has turned out the other way around," Karl Storchmann, executive director of the American Association of Wine Economists, told BNN Bloomberg in a Wednesday interview.

US wine exports to Canada down 93%.
US wine exports to China down 30%.

And these two markets where were the US was exporting its most expensive wines.
