What does a TRUMP presidency look like?

FFS there is no excuse for this in 2025.  The pretending that Trump has some rational strategy underlining his vocalized brain farts; rationalizing the unjustifiable. 

It's a real estate hustle - he sees a big piece of land and wants to grab it cheap, using threats and dirty tricks as needed. He knows fuck all about Arctic geostrategic competition; he was reading a magazine when that was briefed.

All the Greenlanders I've had a chat with through a very, very saga-like chain of family events (my sister made friends over there while performing in a magician's troupe) were politically active and were super nationalistic. Like Icelanders in the beginning of the 20th century nationalistic... The US already has as much influence as it wants in Greenland. You want to set up further facilities for whatever, the Danes and especially the Greenlanders would be delighted.

You don't have to paint the map like Russia.

It's the same with Canada.  US doesn't have any US-only military bases but has pretty free reign to use Canadian facilities.  Modern satellites have eliminated the need for the old DEW radar stations, but we had no issue with those.  I guess the only thing is we refuse to station nuclear missiles here - but really would the US want to bother stationing them here anyways?  We're not that much closer to Russia (or China).

In terms of resources - again US companies have free access to develop them.

And when Trump points out Canadians would pay fewer taxes - part of that is Canadian social services like Medicare, but beyond that - I guess the US is just going to subsidize us then?

The last time the US invaded Canada back in 1812, they did so in a 3-pronged attack. 2 were cut off by their supplies almost immediately and retreated and the last one advanced up a defended hill, got shot to shit and fled back ingloriously.

Now I have no idea whether modern Canadians think of themselves as a nation or whether it's all "you live on stolen land, give your virgin daughters to Justin Trudeau to wipe away your sins" or whatever, but may the next Canadian leader will be 2000% less cringe than the last one.
