I would also like to point out that other mods use the word "Chinks" with impunity:

So it would be good if we had some sort of list of words I cannot use.

Ideally you don't use any words on languish. That would be safest.

According to government figures Spain's per capita meat consumption is a surprisingly low 112lbs/year.

Would be quite higher if fish was included.

And that'd put us much closer to the top of the rankings, since Spain is one of the countries with the higher consumption of fish per capita in the whole world, IIRC only Japan consumed more fish per capita than us.

And the statistics are important, the jamón must flow!

I would be curious to see your stats about fish consumption. I'd say Portugal (hello bacalhau! ) and Iceland eat more fish per capita.

That was off the top of my head. In the EU Spain and Portugal top the stats by a fair margin ahead of everybody else.

An obvious counterfeit.  I would never refer to godless yellow commie heathens with a racial slur.

Link? The Chinese have so much less meat that they kill far less animals than a country one fifth their population?

Though I guess that depends on your definition of 'far less'.
if you exclude fish and other assorted sea creatures and take it on a per capita basis, it could be true.  Well, they are importing lots of pork from Quebec (and elsewhere), but I think they eat much less beef than the average Americans.
I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.

Since the US is like the third largest consumer of beef, that isn't saying much.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

One of the worst places I've ever visited was a zoo in japan.
